Join certified wildlife tracker and naturalists from Firecraft Northwest for a waterside field session at Deschutes River Ranch. In this workshop, participants will learn the basics of wildlife tracking and develop methods for interpreting tracks and signs on the landscape.

In this hands-on field outing, you’ll learn:

  • Wildlife tracking basic concepts (an overview) - tracks, gait, signs, disturbance

  • Animal behavior and morphology

  • Nature observation and awareness, nature connection

  • Hands on training in the field to practice interpreting wildlife track and sign

  • Recommended resources

  • Practice identifying several species of real-life PNW wildlife tracks!
