Wild Women Walks - Pink Moon (Free)

  • Bob Bammert Grove Trail Bordeaux, WA, 98512 United States (map)

Join Licia, naturalist and educator from Firecraft Northwest, on this full moon walk for women. April’s full moon is known, among other names, as the Pink Moon. This name derives from the pink phlox family flowers (as well as other native wildflowers) that come out in April in North America.

But, on this trail we’ll likely also see osoberry, western trillium, and maybe salmonberry or flowering currant! Join us for a slow meander, native blooms, and blossoming new friendships.

Location and accessibility notes:

  • There is no bathroom at the trailhead; advice/support for leave no trace nature peeing is available :)

  • Read more about the 1.2-mile trail here

  • The trail is fairly short, but goes up pretty steeply for a while from the trailhead; we’ll move slowly to make sure everyone feels comfortable with the pace (we’re there to meet each other and notice nature, rather than speed hike!); the trail is narrow packed dirt

  • This is a DNR site, a Discover Pass is required

This outing is free, but RSVP is required. Please use the form below to sign up
