Plants of the Understory! | Apr 24 | 6 PM - 8 PM
Don’t get us wrong…. Trees are cool! But, hey, they get a lot of the glory in plant identification training. In this course, we’ll walk the diverse deciduous woodlands of the Deschutes River identifying the plants of the understory from floor to chest height!
This plant-focused walk will be a flat, easy meander along the riparian corridor as we stop to study and identify understory plants and shrubs “afoot.” Throughout the program, participants will learn relevant botany basics and useful terminology.
This session is welcome to plant enthusiasts of all skill levels, but will be beginner friendly.
Information regarding where to meet within Pioneer Park for the start of class will be sent in a reminder email leading up to the class day for all registered participants.
